Babies R Us

In preparation for the new arrival, we decided to head out to Babies R Us today to check things out. That place is overwhelming. It's about the size of a large Target filled with...you guessed it...baby stuff. Mostly we were just getting an idea of what we needed and wanted. I did come across a couple of must have items. They're pictured above. I want to make sure we send a clear message of where our affiliation is. Our child is starting her life like a Greek tragedy, doomed to the misery of being a Cubs fan.

One of the rabbit holes you can go down is deciding what kind of baby stroller and car seat to get. Do you get the mondo baby stroller+car seat+cup holder+entertainment center that weighs a ton and takes up the entire trunk of your Honda, or do you go lean and mean. My friend Trent informed me that all the cool kids get a stroller from Bugaboo. That's one nice stroller, but I draw the line at $850 for a stroller. After much trial we narrowed them down. The Mosaic and their infant car seat. Modest but serviceable. If you have some advice or comments, click that button down there that says COMMENTS!

In homage to my friend Trent...

Things I learned today: 1. Babies R Us is scary, 2. The people at Bugaboo are very proud of their product, 3. You can get a MLB logo on just about anything.

"Homage (from the French: Hommage) is generally used in modern English to mean any public show of respect to someone to whom one feels indebted."

If you feel indebted to me, how about you name your little girl Trent?

:)
